Christine Buxton, LPC
Christine creates a warm and welcoming atmosphere where you can feel safe to work on the issues that are holding you back from fully enjoying and living your life to its fullest. She loves being a mother of two, hiking, learning, and helping others. She has been helping people manage their life challenges in private practice for 8 years now.
Christine is a graduate of Brigham Young University and holds a Master’s degree of science in mental health counseling, graduating with academic distinction. Christine received her certification from the International Coaching Academy and has a certification in Interactive Guided Imagery techniques from UCLA’s Dr. David Bresler’s program in Santa Monica, CA. Christine’s counseling techniques focus on strength-based approaches that are supported by current research.
Joel K. Buxton, LMFT
Joel believes that almost all the issues that people need to address come down to empowerment, and he will work with you to help you improve your level of empowerment so that you can face life with strength and confidence.
Joel is a graduate of Brigham Young University and received his master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Drexel University in Philadelphia, PA. He studied under Dr. Ivan Nagy, one of the founders of marriage and family therapy. He has worked as a marriage and family therapist for over 21 years. He has worked on the Mental Health Crisis Team in Region 7 and was involved with the commitment process and was the state’s liaison with the Behavioral Health Center in Idaho Falls. He has been in private practice for the past 14 years. His specialties include marital and pre-marital issues, as well as divorce counseling.
